Before joining Center Lake Capital, Anjelo Austria was an equity research associate at Morgan Stanley, specialising in enterprise software. Here he worked for Keith Weiss in his software equity research team.

What is Center Lake Capital?

Center Lake Capital is a hedge fund specialising in software stocks. The fund returned 76% in 2018, and in 2019, it had $350 million under management.

Since its founding in 2014, Center Lake Capital has compounded at about 24% net of fees.

The fund is run by Adam Parker, and has a large focus on the software sector. Mid-cap enterprise software providers are particularly attractive to the fund, because they have high growth potential, high gross margins and low capital expenditures.

Big winners have included investments in Coupa Software, a 150% gain by software maker Okta, and a 182% surge in software company MongoDB.

Anjelo Austria has been a board member of the Next-Gen Initiative. This organization works to ensure students in New York public schools have equal access to college.
